Come write your very own life sketch. This class is for anyone who wants to write a brief auto-biography or ‘self-portrait’ that is focused on their life-long work or professional career.

Students should bring a pen and notepad to class.

Math: You Can Do It

This course is designed to help anyone who is struggling with math. Bring a math problem or topic that you wish to work on with others in class. Join this class and you will see that you can do math!

WT-First Aid, CPR and AED Certification

This one session course is designed to prepare participants to provide First Aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course teaches the critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. This course includes infant/child First Aid and CPR. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED two-year certification. Cards are issued electronically through the American Heart Association and may take up to two weeks to arrive.

This class is 1 session.

Woodworking: Machine Tool Basics

Learn common shop safety practices along with the use of various power saws, routers, a jointer, and a thickness planer.

All students should bring safety glasses and ear protection to class if they have them.  Otherwise, they will be provided.

Instructor BioBrian Pietrowski is a local woodworker and student of the Historic Preservation program at Clatsop Community College. He received a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from the Oregon College of Art and Craft, and he has spent the last two decades making furniture, cabinetry, and designing architectural spaces. Brian’s current work focuses on restoring and reproducing historic wooden windows.

Weaving Baskets: Market Basket

Come make your very own basket! Learn how to weave a market basket that you can take home to use or carry with you as you shop!

A $49 fee for your supply kit and handle (natural and colored reed/rattan) should be paid to the Instructor at the beginning of class in the form of cash or check.

Please bring a sack lunch and these additional supplies: spray bottle, small bucket, soft tape measure, scissors, towel, pencil, flat-head screwdriver, and 4” zip ties.
