In this workshop we will discover methods for observing and assessing in the early childhood learning setting.  Young children learn in a variety of ways.  How can educators know what students know and how can we help them continue on their journey?  Through observing children's play and formal assessments early childhood educators can learn what children know and further their learning. Attendees will practice taking both formal and informal observations and learn how this data can drive curriculum and classroom activities.

Class meets every other Wednesday from 6:30-8:30pm on Zoom for 5 total sessions.

This one session course is designed to prepare participants to provide First Aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course teaches the critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. This course includes infant/child First Aid and CPR. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED two-year certification. Cards are issued electronically through the American Heart Association and may take up to two weeks to arrive.

Last day to drop a Community Education or Workforce Training class with a refund:

• One or two-session workshops – one working day prior to class start date
• Three class sessions or more – two working days after the first class

There are no refunds allowed beyond these deadlines:  You are liable for payment of classes at the time of registration and will be held liable unless the classes are dropped within the refund period.

If you withdraw due to circumstances beyond your control such as a medical emergency, you may file a petition for a refund. The date of receipt of the petition, length of class attendance, and cost of course materials and services may be considered in denying or reducing the amount requested.
